A bit about me
Hello! My name is Gabriel Serra. I'm an Industrial Designer with a Master's in Engineering and Product Design and currently undertaking my Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering.
I'm Brazilian, born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, and at the moment I'm living in Portugal, in Aveiro. However, before estabilishing myself in here, I lived in a few different countries like Canada, Scotland, England and Austria. I love to travel and to meet and experience new places and cultures. I'm a very easy-going person, always in a good mood and easy to get along with.
As a professional I'm extremely curious about the many areas of knowledge encompassed by the product development: I'm interested in topics that range from Psychology of consumption, circular economy & sustainability, marketing, all the way to production management, materials & manufacturing processes and numerical simulation in engineering.
Nevertheless, despite having a broad interest for many different topics, I have as expertise the development of concepts, 3D modeling & rendering, prototyping and simulation with finite elements of linear and non-linear problems.
